    hokie hi.

Growing up I always loved hearing stories of my mom's college days in the 70's at Virginia Tech.  The campus in Blacksburg, sprawling and green, seemed so idyllic; my mom's anecdotes were all fun, carefree.  Like college should be.  With everyone else, yesterday I got the news updates of the mass shooting, and was horrified.  I still am.  So sad for the students lost, for their families, for those who lived through that fear and are now in mourning.  There is no way to understand that rage, or that desire to kill.  I just don't understand it.  I don't have any eloquent words.  I'm in prayer for all the victims and their families.  I hope they find peace and grace.

Prayer for peace and restoration is the only thing we can do in defense of such a tragic act. I will be in prayer with you.
